NTPC Simhadri’s Contracts and Materials Department recently organized a Special Vendor Development Program 2024 at its premises.
The programme aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with valuable insights into government policies and procurement processes.
The initiative brought together several MSME vendors from Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad, with a special focus on SC/ST and women entrepreneurs.
During the program, participants were familiarised with the Government Public Procurement Policy, NTPC’s procurement processes, as well as platforms like GeM and TReDS.
The program underscored NTPC Simhadri’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and encouraging the participation of MSMEs in public sector opportunities. By equipping vendors with critical knowledge and resources, NTPC continues to support sustainable business growth and contribute to the economic development of the region.
The event was attended by Mr Chandramouli Jangam, Assistant Director, MSME DFO, Mr S Suresh, NSSHO Head, The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd., Mr Sameer Sharma, CGM and Head of Project, NTPC Simhadri, Mr Rasmi Ranjan Parida, CGM, CPG3, and other senior dignitaries from NTPC Simhadri.
