Kadapa district was draped in yellow for TDP’s three day annual Mahanadu meet. The district turned into a TDP bastion with throngs of people participating with many wearing yellow, the colour of the Telugu Desam party.
At the meeting Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister Mr N Chandrababu Naidu was unanimously re-elected as the TDP’s national president.
Elected for a period of two years Mr Naidu addressed the gathering and said that his commitment has always been “State First,” and that of “Positive Politics”.
The chief minister reminded them of the many development initiatives undertaken by the TDP over the past many years and how the party has evolved in its 43 years of journey.
He advocated the centre for doing away with larger notes and moving towards a more digital payments economy.
Speaking at the event TDP’s National General Secretary Mr Nara Lokesh said that TDP Embraces Policy Transformation for the Times and also spoke of Six Key Resolutions to Shape the Future of Telugu People.
“Times are changing, so are the needs and aspirations of the people. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), while staying rooted in its founding principles, must evolve with the changing times,” said Mr Lokesh.
Introducing Six Resolutions for a Future-Ready Telugu Desam Mr Lokesh proposed six foundational resolutions to guide the party and the people into a stronger future.
