And 100 ft road at Pedagantyada

A group of industry associations including CII, AP Chambers and Pedagantyada Industrialists welfare association (PIWA) have brought to the notice of the district administration couple of pertinent issues which it says is negatively affecting trade and movement of cargo vehicles in that area.

In a letter submitted by PIWA’s president it has called for free vehicle movement i.e. 24/7 road connectivity within the industrial estate.

As per PIWA currently the movement of vehicles within the industrial estate is restricted by about 6 hours a day as locals are creating trouble for the drivers of lorries and trailers stating safety times on GVMC road due to which the operations and transportation schedule is getting disturbed.

In addition, the association has also called for the road connecting the industrial estate from Pedagantyada Gandhi Statue to Gangavaram village of 100 feet wide road.  It was originally planned and mentioned by APIIC too during time of registration and also GVMC declared as 100 ft. road.

‘This narrow road not only hinders smooth vehicular movement but also poses safety risks. Inadequate space for both industrial vehicles and local traffic often leads to accidents and congestion’.

It has thus asked the concerned authorities to immediately look into these matters and reiterated that a wider road will ensure a safe passage for both industrial vehicles and local villagers by doing proper survey with all concerned authorities.

The Pedagantyada industrial estate is home to a diverse range of industries including steel fabrication, plywood manu- facturing, PVC pipes etc.
