Tech Savvy CM stresses Deep Tech

Often counted among India’s visionary and Tech savvy Chief Minister, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated a deep tech/GovTech innovation conclave 2024 in Visakhapatnam and emphasized the role of technology in delivering citizen centric services to the public at large.

‘AI and DeepTech are transforming public services, generating employment, expanding knowledge capital, and improving the quality of life. With today everyone owning a mobile phone we can easily utilize cutting edge technology to better serve our citizens opined Mr Naidu.

The chief minister highlighted sectors  wherein the role of new age technologies can be leveraged. ‘There are a plethora of opportunities that can be explored in the deep tech space. We need to work smart’ said the chief minister addressing a gathering of technologists, academicians, industrialists and students.

AP as DeepTech Hub

Mr Naidu also reminisced his earlier tenures as chief minister for being an early adopter of technology well before it had become a norm. ‘Having established Hyderabad as one of Asia’s premier IT hubs, the next commitment is to transform Andhra Pradesh as the next DeepTech Hub for India and the region by fostering sustainable economic growth and wealth creation through technological advancements’ said the chief minister.

Also emphasising the role of deep tech Mr S.P.Tucker, former Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and Chairman of GFST said “Deep tech is reshaping industries and solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. This conference is an opportunity to not only showcase technological breakthroughs but also foster collaboration that drives real-world impact.’

In addition Mr Naidu spoke on his vision document of Swarnandhra Pradesh 2047 and the need to grow at a 15% growth rate.

The event was organised by the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation a not-for-profit platform committed to advancing policy research aimed at the sustainable transformation of economies and communities.
