The International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC-2023), organized by the China Association of Quality (CAQ), resulted in resounding success & glory for Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
The convention, held in Beijing, recently saw RINL’s Quality Circle (QC) teams “TESLA,” “ROCKERS,” and “ABHYUDAY” clinch 3 Gold Awards for their outstanding contributions.
Three LQC (Lean Quality Circle) teams from RINL-Vizag Steel i.e., “TESLA” from SBM, “ROCKERS” from BF and “ABHYUDAY” from SMS presented their case studies in the competition conducted during the International Quality Control Circles Convention.
QC team “TESLA” of SBM (Special Bar mill) department of RINL presented their case study on “Modification of pouring pipe/ pouring trough to minimize scratch marks on coil”.
QC team “ROCKERS” of BF (Blast Furnace) department of RINL presented their case study on “Modification in the `manual operating system` of tilting runner”.
QC team “ABHYUDAY” of SMS (Steel Melting Shop) department of RINL presented their case study on “Modification of cross travel shaft in gas cutting machine”. RINL CMD Mr. Atul Bhatt, congratulated all the award-winning Quality Circle team members.
