Speaking at the plenary session on “Building a Robust Supply Chain Ecosystem for the Future,” he underscored Sri City’s pivotal role in reinforcing India’s participation in Japan’s Supply Chain Resilience Initiative (SCRI).

As India’s second-largest Japanese Industrial Township, Sri City hosts 31 Japanese companies—including Isuzu, Unicharm, Daikin, and THK—along with their supply chain partners.

Dr Sannareddy highlighted how the co-location of OEMs, Tier-1, and Tier-2 suppliers within Sri City has optimised efficiency, minimised lead times, and streamlined production and logistics.

Industry, education, and sustainability, he emphasised, remain central to Sri City’s vision. He further informed that in the last three months, delegations from Hiroshima, Toyama, and Ehime have visited the business city, reinforcing its appeal for both Japanese SMEs and major corporations.

Dr Sanna- reddy also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s leadership under Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu’s governance and how the state is now prioritising speed and cost efficiency along with ease of doing business.Established in 1966, the India-Japan Business Cooperation Committee (IJBCC) fosters trade, investment, and technology exchange between the two nations, serving as a critical industry-led platform for strengthening economic ties.
