SM Renergy bags contract to solar power 2 AP villages

AP headquartered SM Renergy has bagged a crucial contract in the state of Andhra Pradesh in the solar energy space to power the households of two villages in AP.

The company which develops sustainable and cost-effective solutions for the generation and supply of solar energy has been entrusted with the responsibility of solarizing households in two specific villages i.e. Nadimuru Village in Kuppam and Naravaripalli near Tirupati.

‘We are thrilled to announce that SM Renergy (P) Ltd. has qualified (through NREDCAP Tender L1) as the key partner in this transformative endeavor’ said the company’s founder Mr Mangalagiri Sudarsan Swamy speaking to Vizag Industrial Scan.

He further informed that under the leadership of the chief minister, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, this initiative has been launched aimed at promoting sustainable energy solutions through the solarization of villages across the state.

Mr Swamy added that this initiative is under the umbrella scheme of the government of India’s Prime Minister Surya ghar yojana scheme in which GoI gives 50% subsidy.

Being undertaken as a pilot project initially for a few 100 houses the company looks to complete it in 2 months wherein each household is slated to get 2 kilowatts of solar power on an average.

As per the company the solarization of these villages will bring numerous benefits, including reduced electricity costs, improved energy access, and a positive impact on the environment by decreasing reliance on fossil fuels.

‘This initiative aligns with the broader goals of sustainable development and aims to create a greener, more resilient future for the residents of these communities’ said Mr Swamy.

Apart from harnessing the abundant solar energy available in the region the project also looks to empower local communities by providing them with reliable and clean energy.

‘As we embark on this journey, we are committed to working closely with local stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of solar energy solutions that meet the unique needs of each village.

Together, we can pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow’ noted Mr Swamy.  The company overall states to have executed projects across 11 States in India & 4 Emirates in UAE.
