Andhra Pradesh continued its mission of leading India’s green energy transformation with yet another mega company laying the foundation stone for a massive clean energy project.
AP’s Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Mr Nara Lokesh today laid the foundation stone for ReNew Power’s Rs 22000 crores Integrated Clean Energy Project at Bethapalli village, Guntakal constituency which he termed as a major investment and the cornerstone of India’s clean energy revolution.
“This project is not merely an industrial initiative — it is a bold step toward energy independence, environmental responsibility, and economic empowerment. With this massive investment, we are not only powering grids but also fuelling the aspirations of our youth and illuminating the path to a sustainable future” said the minister.
He added, “Today, we are making that future a reality — not just for ourselves, but for generations to come. Each megawatt generated from this site will send a strong message to the world — that Andhra Pradesh is leading India’s green transformation” said the minister.
Mr Lokesh extended his heartfelt thanks to ReNew Chairman and CEO Mr Sumant Sinha and the company’s leadership for their confidence in the state.
“This is not just an investment. It is a vote of confidence in our vision, leadership, and execution capabilities. ReNew’s return to Andhra Pradesh, after six years, marks the beginning of a new chapter in sustainable growth” said the minister.
He opined that the Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy launched in October 2024 is now being seen as a model for the rest of the country — a blueprint for India’s green future.
