Projects worth a staggering Rs 2 Lakh Cr. Unveiled
The Prime Minister of India arrived in Vizag to a rousing and euphoric welcome from the residents of the city of destiny.
Hordes of people gathered on Jan 8th to welcome the Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi who participated in a road show accompanied by the chief
minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM, Mr Pawan Kalyan and BJP state president, Ms Purandeshwari. Following the road show the PM addressed the large gathering wherein he thanked them for their warm reception and said that Andhra Pradesh is a state of many possibilities.
The Prime Minister was in Vizag to lay the foundation stones for a slew of projects worth a staggering Rs 2 lakh crore across various regions in Andhra Pradesh aimed at driving sustainable growth and infrastructure development. ‘These projects will take AP to new heights’ said the Prime minister.
Taking to the stage Mr Naidu din’t shy away from showering lavish praises on the prime minister and said that Mr Modi is just not an Indian leader but a global leader.
‘Under your leadership India’s place in the world order has been significantly elevated and we are totally aligned with your vision and endeavour to take India forward’ said the chief minister.
Giving a couple of examples of the PM’s foresightedness Mr Naidu said that it was rare to see such a visionary and goal oriented Indian prime minister.
With a click of a button the PM laid the foundation stone for the NTPC Green Energy Limited’s (NGEL) Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka in Atchutapuram mandal of Anakapalle district.
‘In the future Vizag will be one of the few cities to have a green hydrogen project on such a large scale. This will also create many job opportunities’ said Mr Modi.
Laying the foundation stone for the Bulk Drug Park in Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district, the Prime Minister said Andhra Pradesh is among 3 states in India to have this kind of park.
‘This will hugely benefit pharma investors and companies’noted the PM. This project is projected to attract an investment of over Rs 1400 crores.
In addition, he laid the foundation stone for the South Coast Railway Zone (SCoR) headquarters in Visakhapatnam and laid the foundation stone for the Kris city in the Tirupati district which is expected to attract investments worth Rs 11000 crores. Similarly, the Prime Minister laid foundation stones for various other infrastructure projects including roads and railway lines.
