Highlight IPRs role in Innovation

National Research Development Corporation in collaboration with DST NIDHI, a hub (Andhra University Incubation Ecosystem), AU IPR Cell, DPIIT IPR Chair & Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society, Govt. of AP recently organized a one-day workshop on “Intellectual property rights” at Andhra University. 

The event served as a crucial platform to forge stronger linkages between academia and industry, ensuring the seamless diffusion of technology and fostering future collaborations that will drive regional and national innovation development.

Dr. B. K. Sahu, NRDC,  emphasized the importance of IPR in fostering innovation and facilitating technology transfer. He said that this workshop seeks to address the pressing issues surrounding IPR, such as IP filing and due diligence, and their importance in facilitating the transfer of technology to industries, MSMEs, and startups. 

Mr. Ravi Eswarapu, a-hub at Andhra University, underscored the university’s commitment to driving technological advancements and fostering entrepreneurship in the region.

Prof. H. Purushotham, Andhra University, shared his experience in promoting and leveraging innovation. He elaborated on the contributions made by the university and its partners in enhancing the IPR landscape and supporting the growth of startups and MSMEs. The workshop continued with insights from other esteemed speakers.
