The Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) has expressed interest in collaborating with the Government of Andhra Pradesh on a range of infrastructure projects. In a meeting recently held at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, KEXIM representatives engaged with state officials to explore potential partnerships.
The representatives of KEXIM met the State government officials to explore collaboration opportunities, with special focus on maritime sector.
During the meeting, Secretary of the Infrastructure and Investment Department Mr. S. Suresh Kumar briefed the Korean delegation on ongoing projects in the State.
The primary focus of the discussions was to review the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) activities and explored future partnerships in shipbuilding and port development, green ports, logistics, smart ports, and cluster development.
Both parties discussed the growth potential of AP’s maritime sector, planning further in-depth studies to enhance cooperation.
The meeting also highlighted strategies for attracting private investment to Andhra Pradesh, with emphasis on incentives to facilitate such investments.
KEXIM invited the Andhra Pradesh government to participate in the upcoming 29th EDCF Workshop Program, offering insights into Korea’s expertise in these critical sectors.
