IIM Visakhapatnam recently announced the successful conclusion of yet another summer placement season for the batch of PGP 2024-26.
The success of this placement season was evident as students bagged coveted internships, with the highest stipend touching an impressive Rs 350,000 for a two month period. This marked a 45.83% increase as compared to last year. This is a true reflection of the Institute’s strong industry standing, said an official release from IIMV.
The average stipend stood at Rs 69,094, while the median stipend was recorded at Rs 60,000.
Demonstrating the strength of IIM Visakhapatnam’s talent pool, the top 5% of students received an average stipend of Rs 209,722, while the top 10 percentile secured Rs 182,444.
Similarly the top 25 percentile achieved an average stipend of Rs 133,322, and even the top 50 percentile enjoyed a competitive average stipend of Rs 96,879.
Despite a dynamic economic landscape, the institute demonstrated its unwavering commitment to academic rigor, industry relevance, and student excellence, attracting top recruiters from across sectors.

Diverse Sectoral Representation:
With 344 students participating in the summer placement process, IIM Visakhapatnam successfully facilitated opportunities across numerous sectors.
This year witnessed a robust participation from IT & Consulting (33%), followed by BFSI (17%), Manufacturing (16%), FMCG (8%), Media & Entertainment (6%), Retail (4%), Real Estate & Construction (4%) and other sectors (12%), including Healthcare, Logistics, Environmental Services, and Ed-Tech.
A total of 130 recruiters joined the institute’s expanding roster of esteemed hiring partners, 77 of which were new. This further demonstrates the industry’s growing trust in IIMV’s talent pipeline.
Some of the prominent recruiters included the likes of Accenture, Asian Paints, Barclays, CRISIL, Deloitte, Geomardy, GMR Group, Goldman Sachs, Haldiram International Pvt Ltd, ICICI Bank, Kia Motors, KPMG, L&T, PwC, Tech Mahindra, TVS Motors.
