‘No film stars, no big names, People are my star campaigners’
As election campaigning came to a draw in Andhra Pradesh chief minister Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy went all out highlighting the work he and has his party cadres have carried out over the past 5 years.
‘In 59 months of rule, we put Rs. 2 lakhs and 70 thousand crores in the account of Sisters’ said the chief Minister in one of his rallies.
He added that Ration and old age pension were provided at home and that they have implemented 99 percent of the promises in the manifesto.
Asserting his credibility the chief minister asked the people ‘Have you ever seen such a change in the past? The government stands by to promote self-employment’.
Emphasising support for farmers he said that he stood by farmers from the seed to the purchase of the crop.
In addition Mr Reddy said that Farmer Bharosa, Rythu Bima, RBK centers and 9 hours of quality electricity have been provided for the farmers.
Star Campaigners
Under this campaign YSRCP had vowed to make commoners its ‘Star Campaigners’.
The chief minister in his Siddham public meetings had sought the support of common public / beneficiaries and had asked them to be his ‘Star Campaigners’ if they had benefited from YSRCP welfare schemes and if they believed that YSRCP had delivered good governance on ground.
‘Star Campaigners’ under the Jagan Kosam Siddham campaign, the final door-to-door was executed with much fervor.
The party claimed that this was executed on ground predominantly by a spirited cadre of over 2.5 lakh members across 47,000 booths.
It further added that along the way, they roped in commoners as ‘Star Campaigners’ who joined leaders, candidates, and party members in canvassing door-to-door for nearly two weeks, championing CM Jagan’s 2024 manifesto promises (Navaratnalu Plus).
‘No film stars, no big names, no influencers, my star campaigners are my people!’ said the chef minister.
