HSL fetches over Rs 200 crs in Ship Repairs

Making a conscious effort in further enhancing its ship repair business Hindustan Shipyard Limited under the leadership of Cmde Hemant Khatri, IN (Retd.) has been making significant strides in this vertical of business.

With HSL‘s proven expertise in carrying out intricate repair of over 2000 Naval and Merchant ships the shipyard truly has immense potential of becoming a Ship repairs hub on the Eastern Sea Board of India.

The shipyard has been aggressively participating in ship repair tenders issued by various customers like SCI, DCI, ONGC, etc.

As a result, HSL has won five back to back successive Ship Repairs orders i.e MODU Sagar Bhushan, MV Viswa Vijeta, MV Vishva Malhar, MV Viswa Ekta and MV Swarajdweep  worth Rs 230 Cr just in the past 7-8 months.

The major reforms undertaken at HSL in the past few months have propelled its growth and created extensive opportunities for MSMEs.

HSL is exploring ‘Strategic Partnership’ models to tie up with global OEMs which will also support MSMEs to set up ancillary industries and supply chain under Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
