GoAP farming model awarded

The Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) program of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, recently won the prestigious 2024 Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity instituted by Portugal-based Calouste Gulbemkian Foundation (CGF). This is the first time that India has bagged the award.

The independent jury of the Prize for Humanity – chaired by Dr Angela Merkel (former Chancellor of Germany) gave the award to Mr. Vijay Kumar Thallam, Executive Vice Chairman – RySS and Advisor to GoAP, and Ms. Nagendramma Nettem, a Champion Farmer Coach from APCNF. The recipients of the award were selected from over 181 nominations across the world.
