Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Director General (DG) NCC recently visited NCC Directorate Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP&TS) and interacted with the Officers and Staff of the Directorate and Group Commanders.
The DGNCC felicitated meritorious cadets and staff of the Directorate with Commendation Cards, Medallions and Plaques. He interacted and addressed the cadets on future of NCC and also praised the Directorate for efficient conduct of various training activities and achievements.
The DG was appraised of the Social Service and nation-building activities being carried out by the cadets in conveying the message to the citizens to become good Samaritans and work for progress of the Nation.
The DG was also briefed by the officials on the NCC expansion plan in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana which includes enhancement of 24,640 vacancies sanctioned by the Ministry of Defence.
Towards the end, DG visited Virus Microlight Simulator and Aeromodelling Simulator. He also witnessed Aeromodelling display including drone flying by the Air Force cadets.
