The ministry of Micro, small and medium enterprises has said that there are 3 projects related to MSE-CDP that have been approved for financial grant in the district of Visakhapatnam.
Responding to a question raised by Visakhapatnam’s Lok Sabha member of parliament, Mr Sribharat Mathukumilli on the ongoing MSE-CDP projects in Visakhapatnam, the minister of state for Micro, small and medium enterprises, Ms Sushri Shobha Karandlaje informed that under the Micro and Small Enterprises – Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), two proposals of Flatted Factory Complex (FFC) and one proposal of Infrastructure Development (ID) Project were approved for Visakhapatnam district in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
The approved projects she said were 1 Flatted Factory Complex (FFC) at Atch- utapuram, Gurajapalem Village, Rambilli Mandal for which a financial grant of Rs 10.32 crores was approved but not yet disbursed.
Similarly, another FFC at Pedagantyada, Visakha- patnam District has been allocated a grant of Rs 5.29 crores but again not yet disbursed.
‘The challenges or delays encountered in the implementation is on account of delay in submission of requisite documents and report on progress of projects as per MSE-CDP guidelines’ said the minister.
The minister further informed that a Rs 2.45 crore grant was also approved by the government of India for the up-gradation of ID centre at Autonagar, Gajuwaka, Vishakhapatnam of which Rs 2 crores has already been granted.
Project Deferred
In regards to any pending proposal the MSME minister informed that a proposal of up-gradation of Industrial Estate at Auto Nagar, Gajuwaka (Block B & Block D), Gajuwaka (Village & Mandal), Vishakhapatnam District was deferred by the National Project Approval Committee.
‘The Committee decided that new project for the district will be considered later after reviewing the progress of the approved projects’ she said.
It is the State Level Steering Committee that monitors the progress of the projects under MSE-CDP Scheme.
