Surgeon Rear Admiral Ajit Gopinath, VSM has assumed charge as Command Medical Officer at Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command recently. Commissioned on 06 Jul 1990, he has served as Staff Officer (Medical) at CABS, Dir AFMS (CRD), DGAFMS and JDMS (P) & Cmde (MS -Health Services) at Naval Headquarters. An alumnus of AFMC Pune, TISS Mumbai & CDM Secunderabad, he has commanded INHS Patanjali and INHS Sanjivani.
