NITI Aayog’s Vice Chairman Mr. Suman Berry recently called upon Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu at State Secretariat.
In his meeting Mr. Naidu apprised him of Swarnandhra-2047 with economic growth, skill development, industries, sustainability as the main themes.
He sought NITI Aayog’s cooperation in providing innovations – technology and supporting the implementation of new policies.
The Chief Minister said that AP is trying to achieve a growth rate of 15 percent every year and establish an economy of $ 2.4 trillion by 2047. The Chief Minister expressed hope that with the support of NITI Aayog, AP will be a model state in the achieving of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Mr. Naidu also expressed his desire for NITI Aayog to play a key role in data collection, best practices, strategic partnerships, attracting private investment, FDI, resource mobilization, etc for which he suggested a review should be conducted every three months.
He proposed that the AP government and NITI Aayog work together in industrial corridors, skilling hubs, smart cities, and strengthening infrastructure.
