Lt. Cdr Ravindra Nath Reddy (Retd.), Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board (APMB) has urged local startups to come up with innovative and sustainable solutions for the maritime, ports and logistics sector.
Addressing an Industry Innovation Interaction Meet in the city recently the Dy CEO highlighted the role startups can play in the vast sector of ports, shipping and logistics.
‘The state government under the able leadership of our CM Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy is giving utmost importance to the ports and shipping sector. We therefore need startups and innovators to come up with solutions that can solve many of our operational challenges’ said Lt Cdr Reddy. Apprising the audience that the government is taking up development of four greenfield ports in the state he called upon startups to play an active role in this.
‘We are building 4 new ports in the state. I therefore urge startups to come and work with us and provide solutions which not only address our pain points but are also sustainable and green in nature’ said the deputy CEO.
Earlier Dr. B. K. Sahu, Sr Regional Manager, NRDC highlighted the wide array of services offered by NRDC and how startups and industry can benefit from them.
Similarly Mr N G Lakshminarayan, Chief (BD), NRDC, New Delhi, Mr Pydah Krishna Prasad, State President, APCCIF, Mr G Samba Siva Rao, President, MD, Sravan Shipping Services Pvt Ltd; Mr A K Balaji, President, Laghu Udhyag Bharathi, Andhra Pradesh and Mr Rolland Williams, Secretary, VCCI also spoke and addressed the gathering.
The interaction meet was organized by NRDC wherein Vizag Industrial Scan was media partner along with AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation and Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society as co-organizers.
