The Centre of Excellence in Maritime and Shipbuilding (CEMS), established strategic alliances at the recently held GMIS 2023 by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai, CYIENT, Seatech Solutions International Pte and Logistics Sector Skill Council.
Through these collaborative agreements, CEMS aims to harness the strengths and expertise of its partners to boost industrial growth, drive technological advancements, and advance workforce development.
‘The strategic partnerships emphasize CEMS’ commitment to fostering innovation and driving positive change across a wide range of sectors through skill development’ said an official release CEMS.
These MOUs were signed in presence of esteemed dignitaries from the Government of India, including Mr Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways & AYUSH; Mr Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education & Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and other high level dignitaries and executives.
CEMS is a skill development knowledge centre established by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways under the Sagarmala initiative and promoted by the Indian Register of Shipping.
