A promising young shooter from Vizag, Ms.Deepthii had been selected for the national air rifle training however lacking funds to pursue her passion left her sports career a tad uncertain.

Ms Deepthii Gonnabhathula daughter of Mr G. Ananda Rao working in CHD division of VPA’s Traffic Department, had got selected for National Air Rifle training by Sports Authority of India, GOI and was in need of a German make Air Rifle to participate in further competitions.

No stranger to awards Ms Deepthii had already achieved several accolades to her name as she secured gold medal in (U-19 category) in district, state level competitions and also secured sixth position in 10m Air Rifle champion women Andhra Pradesh state level competitions held at Hyderabad by  National Rifle Association of India.

In addition she also participated in 13 South zone Shooting championship Air Rifle events and participated in 65th national Shooting championship Air Rifle held at Thiruvananthapuram Kerala wherein she became a remote shooter in both junior and women categories.

Considering her achievements in the field VPA’s Traffic Manager Mr. B. Ratna SekharRao requested M/s. Synergy Shipping Pvt Ltd to sponsor G. Deepthii and assist her financially for purchasing imported Air Rifle.

Synergy Shipping’s CEO Mr Miriyala Venugopal, took this as a privilege to sponsor the young girl and immediately arranged to purchase the required Air Rifle from Germany.

In the above picture Mr Veugopal is seeing handing over the German air rifle to Ms G. Deepthii thru the hands of VPA Chairperson, Dr.Madhaiyaan Angamuthu, IAS.

Handing over the rifle Dr. Angamuthu, IAS congratulated her on all her achievements and urged her to utilise this opportunity to participate in more championships. 

He further thanked Mr. Venugopal, CEO of Synergy Shipping Pvt Ltd for encouraging young talent and sponsoring the Air Rifle requested by G. Deepthi for participating in upcoming competitions.
