Projects over Rs 14k crs unveiled

The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi recently inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 112 National Highway projects spread across the country worth about Rs. One lakh crore.

Stating that the nation has taken another big and important step towards modern connectivity he emphasized the transfor- mative impact of infrastructure development, highlighting the shift from problems to possi- bilities. 

Some of the major projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister in Andhra Pradesh included:

Anandapuram – Pendurthi – Anakapalli section of NH16 deve- loped at a cost of about Rs. 2,950 crores in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Projects for which the foundation stone will be laid include 14 packages of Bengaluru – Kadappa – Vijayawada Expressway worth Rs. 14,000 crores in Andhra Pradesh. 

Some of the other foundation stones laid for major projects by the Prime Minister in Andhra Pradesh included: Widening of existing road to 4 lane with paved shoulder from Km 0/000 to Km 51/119 (51.119 Km) of Tadipatri to Muddanur of NH-67; total length 57.12 km at a cost of Rs. 724 crore, Widening and Reconstruction of existing road to four lane from Km.56+400 to Km 120+300 (i.e., from B. Kothapalli Junction to Gorantla) (excluding Kadiri Bypass from Km 70+200 to Km 77+105) of NH 716G; total length 57 km at a cost of Rs. 840 crore, Rehabi- litation & Upgradation of Newly Declared National Highway Somayajulapalli – Dhone Road of NH – 340B  at a cost of Rs. 630 crore.
