Robotics is one of the most interesting aspects of science. Many startups are coming out with interesting ways of automating processes earlier done by human intervention. 

One such startup which is making a mark in this space is Robocoupler. Headquartered in Visakhapatnam and founded way back in 2009 by Praveen Malla, the startup is into manufacturing that also provides training and initiates student development programmes. The startup also claims to be India’s first Andro Humanoid Robots manufacturing company. 

Our main activity is providing Development in Small Scale Industries and Training in Real time Embedded and Robotics for Academics’ informed Mr. Malla. 

The startup works on Artificial Intelligence demonstrated by machines, Embedded systems and Mechatronics.

Robocoupler has come out with some unique and innovative robots such as CYBIRA which stands for Cyber Security Interactive Robot Agent, a Woman Virtual Reality Robotic Cop which helps the public in different areas with multiple applications.

Similarly it has a 3-FINGER ADAPTIVE ROBOT GRIPPER wherein the robot grasps something tightly. The fingers come in contact with the part that is to be grasped and the jaws move in synchronous motion.

Thirdly it has a robot MIRA (THE SERVING ROBOT) which assists humans performing jobs that are monotonous, redundant and even dangerous. These are autonomous and are operated by a built-in control system.

Apart from building robots the startup also provides training and has been imparting training in robotics for the last 4 years. It claims to have trained around 38,000 students and helped them get placed in MNCs.

In terms of revenue the startup makes money through 3 verticals i.e. Academics, Business to Government (B2G) and Business to Customers (B2B).

Some of the ongoing projects that the company is working on are the development of Animatronics and CV-BoT 2021.
