With the pandemic causing major disruptions to nearly all facets of life, many had to shift to the virtual world. Education too had to take to its new world i.e. online.
As many students had to move back home during the lockdown, they were left with no access to course material available in their respective colleges. And with exams approaching this became even a bigger problem as students needed their relevant study material.
Considering these limitations, two Andhra University students decided to start an e-learning platform to provide access to key learning material.
This is where EduMoon glowed! This e-learning start-up provides professional courses such as C Programming, JAVA, Python, Web & App Development, Autocad, Matlab, Analog Communications, Robotics, trainings like EAMCET along with lectures, workshops, webinars and paid internships to help engineers of diverse streams.
Founded by Mr. Vikas Kapuganti and Mr. Mahidhar Ponnada from CSE department they strategized formulae for their juniors to learn with ease by creating an Instagram account that contained relevant study information aligned to the AU curriculum.
The start-up claims to have already provided classes to over 10K students and held over 100 guest webinars lectured by industry experts such as ISRO, IIM & IIT, AU alumni, etc.
We started with Computer Science-related content, but have been curating study material for ECE, EEE, Mechanical, and many other engineering branches at an affordable range starting from Rs. 300 to Rs. 5000, informed the founder, Mr. Vikas.
With endless guidance and support from AU’s Vice Chancellor, Mr. Prasad Reddy the start-up has already made great strides from just being a mere start-up to having raised Rs.2 million in funding.
Edumoon received Rs 20 lakhs of funding under the Chunaiti 2.0 scheme of Software Technological Park of India under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
AU’s incubation centre headed by Mr. Ravi Eshwarapu is also giving them much-needed mentoring and helping them navigate their way.
