One of the most nostalgic symbols of school life is the trusty school bag, carrying everything from textbooks to secret notes. But what if it could do much more?
Introducing Siddhi, the Digital School Bag, an innovative, tech-savvy device designed to lighten the physical load and transform learning for Indian students.
Founded by Mr Murali Manohar Rao Bulusu and Mr Gopi Kumar Bulusu, Siddhi is inspired by their expertise in semiconductor technology and a vision to create a focused educational tool tailored for Indian schoolchildren.
The idea took shape when their team was challenged by NVIDIA to build a complete device, leading to DreamChip’s creation and Siddhi’s development as a user-centric learning companion.
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the need for distraction-free digital learning tools. Siddhi answers this by offering textbooks and reference materials digitally, significantly reducing the heavy weight of traditional school bags.
Its custom operating system, Sankhya Upasthitam, supports multiple Indian languages at the hardware level, allowing seamless switching-a unique feature compared to imported devices.
Targeted at students from 5th to 8th grade, Siddhi enables personalized learning by allowing access to content across different classes. It includes educational apps for navigation, assessments, and progress tracking, with content downloadable via USB for offline use.
Siddhi aligns with India’s New Education Policy by reducing physical burden and fostering scientific temperament through electronic learning boards.
Gaining traction in Indian schools, Siddhi is poised to revolutionize digital education with sustainable, user-friendly, and localized technology. Not disclosing exact numbers, the startup seems pretty optimistic in generating robust revenue figures over the next few years.
