The initiative provided relief to the petitioners ensuring members received clear legal and procedural guidance
The regional office of the employees’ provident fund organisation (EPFO) under the leadership of its Regional P.F. Commissioner-l, RO Visakhapatnam, Mr Amardip Mishra, has drawn significant appreciation from the local community.
In a move to streamline member services and reduce prolonged legal disputes, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) had launched a nationwide focused drive to resolve pending cases before various District and State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions (DCDRF/SCDRC).
Following the launch of this initiative the regional EPFO office had recently utilized the Nidhi Aapke Nikat (NAN 2.0) platform and addressed grievances of the concerned stakeholders on the spot and provided detailed clarifications regarding the technical provisions of the EPF Act and Schemes.
Mr Dharmendra Gurjar, Assistant P.F. Commissioner (Legal), took proactive measures by engaging directly with stakeholders to address the root causes of grievances that often lead to avoidable litigation.
Under his supervision, several long-pending cases were scrutinized and resolved administratively on the spot, providing immediate guidance.
This initiative was met with high praise from the local community.
“We are extremely pleased with the proactive approach taken by the EPFO Visakhapatnam team. After several months of legal uncertainty, the officials provided us with a clear understanding of the EPS calculations and rectified our service records on the spot. Seeing our grievances resolved so transparently we have understood that further litigation is unnecessary. We have assured the EPFO that we will be filing the necessary affidavits to withdraw our pending cases from the consumer courts immediately” stated a group of retired employees who had attended the session.
