A distinguished six-member delegation of senior government officials from Reunion Island recently visited Sri City.
The delegation led by Mr. M. Richard Boqui Queni, Secretary of the Bureau de CCI Reunion was welcomed by Mr. R. Shivashankar, Senior Vice President (Marketing) at Sri City, who provided them with an insightful briefing on the infrastructure and unique features of the mega industrial park.
Mr. Shivashankar highlighted the favourable business environment in Sri City, coupled with world-class infrastructure, the availability of a talented workforce, and strong government support, attracts investors from across the globe.
He informed them that currently, over 220 companies from 29 countries have chosen Sri City as their home, he added.
Mr. Richard Boqui Queni hailed Sri City for its overall infrastructure and opined that Sri City would be an excellent fit for medium- and small-scale investments, particularly in the food processing sector originating from Reunion Island.
Réunion Island is a French department in the Indian Ocean and is known for its volcanic, rainforested interior, coral reefs and beaches.
Commenting on the delegation’s visit Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, said “We were delighted to welcome the delegation from Reunion Island.
Their visit holds the promise of facilitating significant business investments from there.”
Some of the other esteemed members of the delegation included Mr. Johny Arnachellum, President of the Commission Innovation & Digital at the Bureau de CCI Reunion; Mr. Bernard Robert, Deputy Mayor of Reunion Island; and Mrs. Bhavani Samarao, Manager at SICCI.
Mr. Rajaram Mohan Munuswamy, Director of the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin in France, efficiently coordinated the visit. The visiting delegation also toured the industrial zone and witnessed the brisk activity at Rockworth Industry.
