Unveils projects worth Rs 2 lakh crores for AP
The city of destiny, Vizag witnessed a massive outpour of people who came out in hordes to welcome the Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi.
Arriving among much fanfare and euphoria Mr Narendra Modi was received by AP’s Governor, Mr S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Mr Pawan Kalyan and many other dignitaries.
Addressing the large gathering of people Mr Modi thanked them for their warm reception and said that Andhra Pradesh is a state of many possibilities.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stones for a slew of projects worth a staggering Rs 2 lakh crore across various regions in Andhra Pradesh aimed at driving sustainable growth and infrastructure development. ‘These projects will take AP to new heights’ said the Prime minister.
With a click of a button the PM laid the foundation stone for the NTPC Green Energy Limited’s (NGEL) Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka in Atchutapuram mandal of Anakapalle district.
To be developed under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, this mega project entails a whopping investment of Rs 1.85 lakh crore and 20 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity to produce 1,500 tonnes per day of green hydrogen.
The project will also produce 7,500 tonnes of green hydrogen derivatives, including green methanol, green urea, and sustainable aviation fuel, primarily targeting export markets.
‘In the future Vizag will be one of the few cities to have a green hydrogen project on such a large scale. This will also create many job opportunities’ said Mr Modi.
Laying the foundation stone for the Bulk Drug Park in Nakkapalli in Ankapalle district, the PM said AP is among 3 states in India to have this kind of park. ‘This will hugely benefit pharma investors and companies’ noted the PM.
This project is projected to attract an investment of over Rs 1400 crores.
In addition he laid the foundation stone for the South Coast Railway Zone (SCoR) headquarters in Visakhapatnam which has been a long-pending demand of the state under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.
He also laid the foundation stone for the Kris city in the Tirupati district which is expected to attract investments worth Rs 11000 crores.
Similarly, the Prime Minister laid foundation stones for various other infrastructure projects including roads and railway lines.
