The National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) recently conducted a valedictory ceremony marking the completion of 14 weeks Induction Training for the newly appointed GST Inspectors (i.e. 32 people) and also 3 weeks of Induction training for the newly appointed Tax Assistants (total of 19 people).
Mr Gopinath Jatti, IPS Deputy Inspector General of Police, Visakhapatnam Range participated as the Chief Guest wherein he called upon the Inspectors to understand their role as tax officers.
They should develop discipline and should always be in learning mode and work for the betterment of the society, opined the Dy IG. Similarly Additional Director General of NACIN, Mr Ravi Kiran Edara, IRS congratulated the outgoing trainees and asked them to put into use the skills learned during the training.
Training reports were presented and certificates were distributed to the graduating officers. An E-Book on Demand and Adjudication was also launched by the Chief Guest. In addition mementos were also presented to the Officers excelled in academics and sports activities.
The valedictory function was followed by a Cultural programme which showcased the extra-curricular skills of trainees and departmental officers. NACIN is the apex training academy under CBIC. This office at Visakhapatnam is the zonal campus for the State of Andhra Pradesh imparting training to the Officers of Customs and Central GST.
