Mooting Vizianagaram as an IT Hub

The 93 year old Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce & Industry hosted a first of its kind historic interactive meet with the 75-year-old Vizianagaram Chamber of Commerce along with its Youth Wing and Women’s Wing members  recently at Visakhapatnam. 

They discussed the past & future activities of the Chamber along with the current Industry scenario and issues/challenges faced by the business community in time.

During the session several out of box ideas were generated and shared.

One such idea was from Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce member Mr. Winston Adams – Vice President of Fluentgrid Limited is to setup and IT-Sub-Committee in the Vizianagaram Chamber and plan to establish Vizianagaram as an IT Hub to cater to the huge number of educated youth hailing from Palasa to Vizianagaram districts who are migrating to other cities.  

This will lead to economic growth in the region.  Both chambers agreed to participate in the forthcoming events jointly such as representation to State & Central governments, industrial visits and visits to other interstate chambers.

This interactive forum was attended by more than 85 members from both the chambers who interacted and exchanged business profiles and importantly ideas to explore new opportunities.

The meeting was jointly presided by Mr. Sudarsan Swamy Mangalagiri, President-VCCI and  Mr. Prakash Kapuganti, President-Vizianagaram Chamber along with their Secretaries Mr. Rolland Williams (VCCI) & Mr. Ravva Srinivas (Vizianagaram Chamber).

Representatives of both Women’s wing & Youth wing also exchanged ideas independently.
