What a rollercoaster ride the 2024 election has been. From the BJP government falling short of the majority mark to the emphatic return of the legendary Politician Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the elections have in many ways sprung a new and refreshing change in the political spectrum of the country.
Albeit short of the majority number (272) BJP yet again emerged as the leading national party in terms of the number of seats (240) and with the help of its much needed allies i.e. TDP, JDU and few others got to form the government.
However what is truly remarkable and probably well bestowed upon AP is not only the ecstatic return of Mr Chandrababu Naidu to power in AP but how significantly important Mr Chandrababu Naidu’s role has become at the centre.
Having lent a supportive hand to BJP to help form the government at the centre, he has become one of their most coveted allies and as many say the ‘kingmaker’.
This undoubtedly works in AP’s favour keeping in mind the plethora of unkept promises the centre had made to AP and is yet to deliver on those.
From special status to Polvaram project to railway zone to division of assets between AP&T the list is plentiful.
While the list might seem daunting one can take comfort in the fact that the man at the helm Mr Nara Chandra babu Naidu is the best person to get this accomplished, now more so keeping in mind TDP’s award winning mandate.
Having been a journalist for so many years and having interacted with Mr Chandrababu Naidu on numerous occasions I have often found him to be a stern disciplinarian who gets the best out of people that be politicians, bureaucrats or captains of industry.
Apart from being a true visionary and much ahead of his times one of the most remarkable qualities of his has been his never say die attitude and uniform respect towards all cadres of people irrespective of their lineage.
This is why today despite the many hardships, ups and downs he has been through people at large accord him with much warmth and respect.
Mr Naidu has got his hands full for his new term from lifting the state out of the gargantuan debt burden to raising funds for the long-awaited capital, leading industrial growth while keeping the welfare and development of the masses in mind.
We wish Mr Naidu success in his new and rejuvenated innings and look forward to working with the government in getting the best for AP.
