IIMV secures 100% summer internships for 2022-24 MBA Batch

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) recently marked the successful completion of its Summer Placements for the MBA 2022-24 batch.

The results witnessed 100% placements with the highest stipend being offered at INR 2,50,000 for the two-month internship; and an average stipend across the batch of INR 79,880 (Up 38.44% from the last year). This is the largest batch of 272 students being placed for summer internships stated an official release from the institute.

Held on a rolling basis, the summer placement season saw more than 110 companies participating in the process and making multiple offers. IT/ITES sector continued to bet big on fresh talent, accounting for 22% of the total offers made, followed by BFSI, (19%), Consulting (12%), FMCG (8%), Manufacturing (7%), Pharma & Healthcare (7%), EdTech & Education (7%), Real Estate & Construction (4%) and other sectors like FinTech, E-Commerce etc.

Some of the Prominent recruiters that hired included Adani Group, Bain & Co., Cognizant, EY, Goldman Sachs, Granules, HSL, ICICI Bank, ICICI Lombard, Invesco, KPMG, Landmark Group, L&T, Latent View, MTR Foods, SBI Capital, Schneider Electric, ServiceNow, StateStreet, TAFE, Tiger Analytics, Ultratech, YES Bank, Wella India, etc.

Director, IIM-Visakhapatnam, Prof M Chandrasekhar, said, “Summer internships are a great opportunity for students to showcase, early in their careers, their creativity, analytical aptitude, problem-solving skills, agility, adaptability and how well they gel as team players.

I am positive many of them will land plum final placement offers during their summer stints itself”. Similarly CDS Chair, Prof Deepika Gupta said, “I am ecstatic with the results and congratulate the students for such a fantastic achievement. Importantly, I thank our recruiters for exhibiting continued faith and trust in our Institute, making it a sought-after destination.”
