IIMV continues to attract Top recruiters

Records 100% success in placements, Highest package at Rs. 43.25 LPA

Despite the uncertainties in the global economy and market fluctuations, IIM Visakhapatnam has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to excellence.

IIM Visakhapatnam, affectionately known as the sunrise IIM, came out with flying colours in regards to its placements. 

The Institute recently announced the successful conclusion of both the final & summer placements for the batch of PGP 2022-24 & PGP 2023-25 respectively.

As per an official release from the Institute it achieved a remarkable 100% placement record for the 8th graduating MBA batch 2022-24. 

For the first time since inception, the Institute witnessed four international offers with an average salary Rs. 19.50 LPA. The overall average package stood at Rs. 15.64 LPA, with the median at Rs. 15.50 LPA.  

Delightfully, recruiters recognized the exceptional potential of the students by offering higher packages that reached an impressive Rs. 43.25 LPA. 

This as per the institute is about 25% higher than the last year’s Rs. 32.65 LPA. In terms of percentile earnings, the top 10% of students received an average package of Rs. 28.60 LPA, while the top 25% secured Rs. 24.62 LPA

Even the top 50% achieved an enviable average package of Rs. 21.05 LPA. These achievements demonstrate the high all-round performance of the students despite the job-market challenges.

Held on a rolling basis, the placement season witnessed around 177 companies participating in the process and making multiple offers, with 117 new recruiters offering roles across various domains, including Consulting, Strategy, Finance, Product Management, Analytics, Brand Management, Marketing, HR & IT, etc.

“Our students and the entire Career Development Services team deserve rich compliments on this fantastic outcome. Despite the strong the headwinds, our students stood their ground, dug their heels in, and withstood the tough times, only to emerge stronger and put in even better performance. Full credit to them” said Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director IIMV.

Also commenting on the record placements CDS Chairperson, Prof. Deepika Gupta said “It is heartening that both the batches 2022-24 (finals) and 2023-25 (summers) outperformed our expectations. 

The results of 100% placements are pure joy to us! I thank my CDS Team, Students’ Placement Committee and all the students for a challenging task made simple, and successfully accomplished”.

Summer Placement tops at Rs 2.40 lakhs

The institute was equally rewarded in its summer placements with students experiencing exciting opportunities during their internships. 

The highest stipend offered was Rs. 2.40 lakh, reflecting the confidence of recruiters in its talented pool. The average stipend stood at Rs. 0.69 lakh, with a median stipend of Rs. 0.60 lakh

The top 10% of students received an average stipend of Rs. 1.58 lakh, and the top 25% of the batch secured an average stipend of Rs.1.17 lakh. Even the top 50% of the batch enjoyed a stipend of Rs. 0.84 lakh

These achievements are proof of the trust and confidence reposed in the high potential of the students said the release from IIMV.

Held on a rolling basis, more than 163 companies made multiple offers, with 103 new recruiters offering roles across various domains.
