Urges FM to address key Industry concerns
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Mr GVL Narasimha Rao recently took a slew of industry representatives from various chamber of commerce and industry associations and met with Union Finance Minister Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman in Vijayawada.
In the meeting GVL highlighted that even after the bifurcation of the state most of the public sector banks and other Central financial institutions are still operating from Hyderabad.
Elaborating further, GVL explained that the state offices of State Bank of India, Union Bank and other banks, prestigious institutions like RBI, SIDBI, NABARD and the main state offices of functions like Income Tax are still operating from Hyderabad. The Minister informed that she will take appropriate action in this regard.
Expressing gratitude to the Central government for sanctioning projects like industrial cities and multi-modal logistic parks to the state, the business delegation requested the Union Finance Minister to speedily undertake their speedy completion.
The Minister informed that the State government will have to take initiative for faster completion of the already sanctioned projects.
The trade delegation also requested the union finance minister to increase credit extended to the MSME sector through banks and to assist them in securing payments due to them within the stipulated period.
Ms Nirmala Sitharaman assured to examine all their suggestions and redress grievances.
The representatives of all industrial bodies thanked MP GVL Narasimha Rao for arranging this interactive session with the country’s Finance Minister to discuss various issues concerning the industries in Andhra Pradesh.
