GOC TASA calls on CM, key officials in AP

Major General Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (TASA), yesterday held a series of meetings with the key dignitaries in Amravati/Vijayawada for Military Civil Fusion and enhancing synergy between State and Indian Army.

In his meeting with the chief minister, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, the discussion focused on Military-Civil Fusion & contribution to nation-building.

Their discussions centred on enhancing the Indian Army’s presence in the state with a new Headquarters at Amravati and locating forces at Vijayawada-Guntur cluster.

In addition, they also spoke on synergy of State and Indian Army, disaster management and security initiatives, with special emphasis on ESM welfare.

The chief minister appreciated the Indian Army’s contributions to national security & regional development and both expressed optimism for future collaborations.

Similarly, the General Officer also met Mr Syed Abdul Nazeer, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, and discussed nation-building and the Indian Army’s initiatives in community development, disaster management and security matters.

Following which Maj Gen Misra met AP’s Minister for Industries Mr TG Bharat, to discuss support and mentorship for defence industry eco system in Andhra Pradesh.

In another meeting the GOC discussed security related matters with Mr Harish Kumar Gupta, IPS, Director General of Police, and issues related to Ex-Servicemen (ESM) welfare and ECHS with Mr G Sai Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary.

The meetings with various dignitaries concluded on a positive note, aiming to strengthen cooperation and collaborations between the military and civil authorities.
