Aims to bolster India’s Atmanirbharta call
The Refratechnik Group, a global network of companies, all active in the refractory business recently announced its new production site in India.
Refratechnik (India) Private Ltd. opened its new, ultra-modern factory in Visakhapatnam/India to meet the government of India call “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (Self – reliance India) and also to meet the requirement in a more strategic and structured way to cut down the lead times and to be in proximity to its customers.
Refratechnik group has invested +30 € Million in India in a logical strategic location on eastern part of India i.e. Visakhapatnam.
This state-of-the-art Greenfield plant will produce MACARBON®, Magnesia Carbon refractories to meet the demands of steel customers and high alumina monolithic plant to meet the requirement of steel, cement and non-ferrous industrial customers.
This facility as per the company would not only help its esteemed customers in India but also its customers in South East Asia, near the Middle East in cutting down lead times.
The plant is expected to generate employment of more than 300 people in the short run and plus 400 people in the long run.
In future, an annual output of 40.000 tons of refractory products will be available to supply customers. On-site research and development plus all-inclusive services make another important contribution for innovative high-temperature processes.
This is the beginning of Refratechnik group’s plans for its future expansion and strengthening of its base in India, said the company.
