CII – IWN Southern Region under its Health and Wellness Vertical (for the year 2023-24) had launched “Bloom – Take Charge of Yourself” with monthly initiatives that covered a wide swath of themes under the health programme.
“Bloom” at the regional level showcased “self-care” through “Spotlights” and finally weaving “Community Building” through the Health Conclave with a special focus on ESG, a first of its kind Conclave held in Visakhapatnam today.
Giving the Inaugural Address, Dr A Ravi Shankar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Vizag quoted as saying “Building a resilient healthcare system requires a steadfast commitment to the 4 Ds: Efficient Delivery for timely care, Universal Accessibility to reach every corner, Financial Affordability to make health a right, not a privilege, and Uncompromising Quality ensuring the well-being of all.”
Dr Uma Aysola, the Lead for the Health Vertical at the IWN regional level and also the Director (Global) Communications & Partner Engagement, ACCESS Health International in her Welcoming Remarks said there is a need for individuals, corporates and Government to play their respective role to build “a cooler planet and a fairer society with better human health”.
Ms Lakshmi Mukkavilli, Chairwoman, IWN Southern Region said it is important for us to set a comprehensive and ambitious health agenda that is relevant to current, emerging and predicted health burdens and is recognisably shifts towards a more holistic vision of health and wellbeing.
Similarly Dr Ramadevi Gourineni, Chairwoman, IWN AP and MD of Amara Hospital noted the importance of happiness & health by giving reference from “Happiness Index”.
