DP world to invest $510 million in India

The concession agreement for the development of the Tuna-Tekra mega container terminal at Deendayal Port in Gujarat, was recently signed at GMIS-2023. 

With an annual capacity of 2.19 million containers, the terminal at Tuna Tekra will have a 1,100m berth capable of efficiently handling vessels with over 18,000 containers and cater to India’s rising trade demand. 

This is said to further support the growing demand for logistics solutions from across Northern, Western and Central India, and connect businesses in the regions to global markets.

The concession agreement was signed between MD & CEO, India Subcontinent, Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Rizwan S., and Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority, Mr. S. K. Mehta, in the presence of  Chairman and CEO, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem; India’s Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal; and Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Mr. Shantanu Thakur.
