AP’s Industries minister Mr TG Bharath has said that the TDP led NDA government under the leadership of chief minister Mr N Chandrababu Naidu has regained the confidence of investors and has convinced them to come do business in Andhra Pradesh.
The minister cited various big-ticket investments that have been announced since the taking charge of the new government.
“Over the past 1 year we have regained the trust and confidence of many of the businesses to come and invest in AP. Major businesses houses and companies have reposed their faith in Mr Naidu and we have thus been able to garner investment proposals worth over Rs 9 lakh crores.
This is no small achievement” said the industries minister speaking at the FAPCCI excellence awards 2025 event held in Visakhapatnam today.
The minister reiterated the government’s position in fostering speed of doing business and said that various decisions are being taken at a brisk pace.
Speaking on the capital city of Amaravati he informed that tenders amounting to a whopping Rs 60,000 crores have already been called for.
Partnering Industry in AP’s growth
Addressing earlier Visakhapatnam’s Lok Sabha member of Parliament Mr M Sribharat called upon industry leaders to become partners in the state’s economic growth and urged them to not only identify bottlenecks but to also propose practical solutions which can then be implemented.
Speaking on the city’s infrastructure the member of parliament said that upgradation of 15 roads are being undertaken at a cost of Rs 500 crores.
In regards to the metro project Sribharat said that the project has reached the DPR phase and that a double decker style has been proposed. This is a mega Rs 15000 crore project, said the MP.
He also informed on some of the major digital initiatives being undertaken by the state government in providing some of the basic services to the people at large.
“Over 300 government services are now available on WhatsApp. This has resulted in the common man’s interface with bureaucracy going down substantially” noted Sribharat.
He similarly highlighted the need for academia, industry and government to work in tandem so as to better address challenges faced by businesses.
FAPCCI president Mr K Mallikharjuna Rao along with Mr Karunendra Jasti, immediate past president, Mr CV Atchut Rao, founder president Mr A Satyanarayana, Vice president, FAPCCI and Mr OP Goenka also addressed the gathering.
A total of eleven awards were given across various categories at the event.
