Following the recent reshuffle of IAS officers in the state, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has mandated Mr Pravin Kumar, IAS, to be the new Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) while also appointed him as Commissioner of Industries (on full additional charge).

This is of much significance keeping in mind that the government recently concluded a very successful Investor summit wherein over 300 MoUs were signed amounting to a whopping Rs 13 lakh crores.

Taking charge of his new assignment Mr Pravin Kumar stated that his immediate priorities would include developing a more conducive environment for the businesses in the state while ensuring compliances to Ease of Doing Business principles and grounding of investments for which MoUs were signed in the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023.

Interestingly Mr Kumar has also been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board. This role will yet again call for Mr Pravin Kumar’s astuteness in wooing investors for the 4 greenfield ports that the state government has envisioned.

Officials working on the industrial infrastructural projects under VCIC, CBIC and HBIC briefed on the progress of various activities undertaken.

Mr. Pravin Kumar, as Project Director, instructed to expedite the grounding of projects where tendering process is concluded.

Additionally, the Single Desk Portal, which is maintaining an SLA compliance of 99.11 percent for the last one year, shall focus on extending scope to include all business specific services.

Further, redressal of all the grievances received through SPANDANA shall be expedited.

He has also instructed the in-house team of APIIC to explore various industrial schemes announced by Government of India for development of industrial landscape in the State.
