PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with ARISE IIP and with the support of Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a Roadshow on “Exploring Business Opportunities in Africa”.
The event organised recently in Visakhapatnam highlighted the opportunities for investment in South Africa.
Arise IIP Manager Mr. A K Pramod, briefed the delegates regarding the operations of ARISE IIP and its impact in various African nations such as Gabon, Benin, and Togo, as well as upcoming projects.
The Special Economic Zones (SEZs) developed by the organization have emerged as hubs for a diverse array of industries, encompassing sectors ranging from timber to glue and extending to capsule packaging, he said.
Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry President, Mr. Sudharsan Swamy, welcoming the gathering & underscored the significance of such sessions in educating the business community of Vishakhapatnam about the abundant opportunities present in Africa.
PHDCCI Secretary Mr. Abhishek Banwara, informed the Chamber’s pivotal role in fostering the growth of Indian industry. He also emphasized the collaborative efforts between PHDCCI and ARISE IIP.
VCCI Women’s Wing President Ms. Jeeja Valsaraj, emphasized the pressing need to organize a delegation visit to the countries where Arise IIP has established Special Economic Zones.
Ms. Valsaraj requested PHDCCI to facilitate the coordination of this important initiative. Queries raised during the question Answer session were addressed by the representatives of ARISE and PHDCCI.
