True to his image of being a CEO and a visionary chief minister, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has unveiled what many would term to be an ambitious and daunting vision plan for the state of AP.
But that is what visionary leaders and successful corporates do envision the future and then set a clear and focused path of goals in achieving their vision.
Announcing his vision for AP in grand manner Mr Naidu released the Swarna Andhra 2047 plan which translates into golden Andhra Pradesh.
Following India’s path to becoming Viksit Bharat by 2047, Mr Naidu understands the crucial role the state of Andhra Pradesh needs to play in this journey and with the state strategically positioned with a vast coastline and abundant human capital, shall emerge as a crucial growth engine in the Viksit Bharat Journey.
Swarna Andhra envisions making Andhra Pradesh a wealthy, Happy and Healthy state by 2047. In addition, it aims to make Andhra Pradesh a USD 2 trillion+ economy by the year 2047 and raising per capita GSDP from the current USD 3000 to USD 42,000.
‘By 2047, Andhra Pradesh envisions a state of Happy, Thriving, and Responsible Telugus, fostering a Progressive and Inclusive Community, a Valley of Innovation, a knowledge Hub for global community, with unparalleled Speed of doing Business’ said Mr Naidu unveiling Swarna Andhra 2047.
The vision plan not only aims to put AP’s economy among the most productive and lucrative in the world but also seeks to attain many sociably desirable tasks such as zero poverty, inclusive growth for all, raising per capita income etc.
Andhra Pradesh’s vision for 2047 embodies the collective aspirations of its people.
‘All success stories commence with a vision, and a successful vision places the citizens at its centre. Andhra Pradesh, celebrated for its fertile landscapes and rich cultural heritage, is an exemplary model for other states’ noted the chief minister.
Blessed with the divine presence of Lord Venkateshwara, the State is a globally recognized as a hub for religious and spiritual tourism.
‘From flourishing agriculture fields to modern industries powered by the blue economy and port led industrialization, our State stands as a testament to the varied potential we hold. It is in recognizing and leveraging these strengths we embark on a journey to catapult Andhra Pradesh to even greater heights’ said Mr Naidu.
At the heart of this vision lies Padi Sutralu, the ten guiding principles that have shaped every aspect of this transformative roadmap. These principles serve as the cornerstone for aligning strategic priorities with the aspirations of the people. They ensure that this vision is inclusive, equitable, and rooted in sustainability, while being ambitious and actionable.
These 10 guiding principles are zero poverty, employment, skilling & human resource development, water security, farmer-Agri tech, global best logistics, cost optimization-energy & fuel, product perfection, Swachh Andhra and Deep Tech in all walks of life.
Andhra Pradesh’s deputy chief minister Mr Pawan Kalyan too hailed the vision of Swarna Andhra 2047 and lauded the chief minister for his leadership and called him a true visionary.
He reminded people of how Mr Naidu had developed Cyberabad and made it into a leading and thriving IT hub of the country.
