AP’s IT secy leads delegation to Taiwan

A high-level delegation from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, led by the Secretary for Information Technology, Mr Katamneni Bhaskar, IAS, were recently in Taiwan to explore collaboration opportunities with IT and electronic firms there.

The IT secretary visited Foxconn Headquarters in Taipei and engaged with the company’s senior leadership team to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The meeting focused on building long-term partnerships and exploring opportunities for collaboration in high-tech manufacturing and innovation-driven industrial growth.

The delegation presented Andhra Pradesh’s vision to become a premier destination for electronics and semiconductor investments, supported by proactive policies and robust infrastructure.

This strategic engagement marks a meaningful step towards deepening ties with Foxconn, aligned with a shared vision to drive technological progress and shape India’s future as a global innovation hub.

During his visit there Mr Katamneni also had a meeting with Mr. Wayne Wang, Secretary General of the Allied Association for Science Park Industries (ASIP), at the renowned Hsinchu Science Park – one of the world’s leading hubs for advanced manufacturing and semiconductors.

In the interaction, AP’s IT secretary presented the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s vision to emerge as a global destination for electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.

They highlighted the investment opportunities and policy support extended by the state to build world-class industrial ecosystems, inviting Taiwanese industrial parks and companies to collaborate.

The Secretary also gained insights into the evolution and success of Hsinchu Science Park and discussed potential avenues for collaboration between ASIP member companies and Andhra Pradesh, especially in areas of advanced electronics manufacturing and innovation-driven industrial development.
