AP showcases its Textile prowess at Bharat Tex

The Government of Andhra Pradesh recently unveiled its pavilion at Bharat Tex 2024, the largest international textile exhibition in India. 

The Pavilion was inaugurated by the Principal Secretary (Handloom & Textiles) to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Ms. Sunitha IAS and stood as a testament to the rich heritage and vibrant textile industry of the state.Commissioner of Hand- looms and Textiles, Mr. MM Nayak, VC&MD APCO Mr. Ranga Pava Murthy and ED APHDC Mr. Vishwa Manoharan joined her on this occasion.

The highlight of the AP Pavilion was the ODOP booth, a splendid showcase displaying the unique handlooms and handicrafts from each district of AP. This endeavour not only celebrated the diversity of craftsmanship but also underlines the state’s commitment to promoting traditional arts on a global stage.

A multitude of textile units from across the state set up stalls within the AP Pavilion, transforming it into a bustling hub of industry activity. Some of those exhibitors included giants like Brandix, Zenlenin, Mohan Spintex Tarakeshwara Textiles Ltd, Guntur Textiles Park, Hindupur Vyapar Park, and ABC Fashions. 

Similarly hand- loom weavers’ societies like Gaddam Srinivasa Hand- loom Silk Sarees Pvt. Ltd, Arunachalewswara HWCS, Madanapalle, and Ponduru Society from Srikakulam also added their distinct touch to the Pavilion.
