15 RAILWAY STATIONS IN AP CHOSEN FOR AMRIT STATIONS

India’s Railway Minister Mr Ashwani Vaishnaw was recently in the city wherein he reviewed various development works while also took part in Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra which saw more than 5000 people take part.

Addressing a huge gathering of people in the city the minister said that more Vande Bharat trains will be introduced with one train being manufactured per week.

Speaking on works in the state he highlighted the central government’s investment of Rs. 8,406 crore for railway development in AP, whereas only Rs 800 crores spent in undivided Andhra Pradesh 10 years back he noted.

However, Mr Vaishnaw emphasized that the state government should take the lead in land allocation for such projects.

In addition Mr Vaishnaw said that 15 stations in this region have been chosen for redevelopment as Amrit stations with world class facilities.

He elaborated on the rapid progress in the expansion of 5G mobile services in the country and stated that BSNL 5G services will be available by Diwali as part of this expansion, 4,000 new cell phone towers are being set up across AP.

Mr Vaishnav also announced that Kothavalasa railway station will be made into a world-class railway station. He said that the KK line is being changed into a double line.

The Railway Minister said that the funds allocated for the railway projects in the state have been increased significantly.
