RINL’s BF-2 Sets a Blazing Record

It was a historic moment in the annals of RINL with Blast Furnace -2 (KRISHNA) crossing the Glorious Milestone of 50 Million tons of Hot Metal production, since inception.

The Blast Furnace -2 (BF-2) which was commissioned on March 21, 1992 achieved this significant milestone on 25th October, 2023 night.

Mr Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL congratulated the entire Blast furnace team and the RINL collective on this momentous occasion and said “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the entire RINL workforce, and the remarkable Blast Furnace team on the historic achievement of Blast Furnace-2 (KRISHNA) reaching the monumental milestone of producing 50 million tons of Hot Metal. 

It reflects not only the excellence in technology and innovation but also the unshakable determination of each member of the organization to reach new heights in the steel industry.”

Similarly Mr AK Bagchi, Director (Projects) & additional charge Director (Operations) said that It is a moment of immense pride for everyone associated with the company, and it underscores RINL’s position as an industry leader, setting high standards for others to follow.” Mr NV Swamy, CGM (Works)-In-charge, Mr R. Mohanty, CGM (Iron), Mr Uddam Nag, GM (BF) & HOD congratulated the blast furnace collective for their hard work and dedication.
