NACIN inducts 48 new GST inspectors

The National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), recently conducted the valedictory ceremony, marking the completion of 14 weeks of Induction Training for the newly appointed GST Inspectors which was conducted from March onwards (a total of 48 no.).

Mr N.Sridhar, IRS, Principal Commissioner of Customs and Central Tax, Visakhapatnam attended the function as the Chief Guest and advised the trainee Inspectors to be wise and practical in their approach and to make use of the knowledge acquired during the training.

The training report was presented by the course director while the Training completion certificates were distributed to the graduating officers.

Similarly Additional Director General of NACIN, Mr Ravi Kiran Edara, IRS congratulated the outgoing trainees and stressed the need for officers to keep abreast of the latest technology tools and data analytics for smart intelligence and detection of good cases and to focus on keeping good health, fitness and mindfulness.

NACIN is the apex training academy under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. 

This office at Visakhapatnam is the zonal campus for the State of Andhra Pradesh (Vizag Zone), imparting training to the Officers of Customs and Central GST.  

The academy is also catering to the training needs of State GST / AP Commercial Tax Officers.
