Kuppam gears up for new projects

Two dairy units among various Infra upgradation projects

Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister Mr N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated various development projects in his home district of Kuppam.

Among the various projects/development works unveiled included Mother Dairy’s processing plant to be set up on an area of 41.22 acres at Thambi Ganipally (village) in Chittoor District. This will be with an investment of Rs. 105.10 crores which shall provide employment to 4800 people.

Mother Dairy is India’s leading diversified food company and a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Deve- lopment Board (NDDB).

Similarly, land has been allotted to Shreeja Milk (milk powder manu- facturing) in 40 acres at Thambi Ganipally village, Chittoor District, with an investment of Rs. 233 crores and an employ- ment projection of 4000 people.

In addition, Kuppam’s municipality has been allocated infrastructure projects worth Rs 92 crores this includes a sports complex worth Rs 22 crores.

Simultaneously Rs 34 crores has been allocated towards improvement of road infrastructure, Rs 19 crores for park develop- ment and Rs 3 crores for streetlights.

The CM also announced a partnership with the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP) and the Kuppam Area Develop- ment Authority (KADA) to establish the Mahila Shakthi Bhavan and Green Industrial Park on 19.87 acres. Expressing his admiration for the district he wholeheartedly thanked the people of Kuppam for electing him as MLA 8 times.

‘This can never be repaid’ said Mr Naidu addressing the gathering. He however lashed out at the previous government for neglecting development in this region & assured them that the development of Kuppam is unstoppable from now on and unveiled the Swarna Kuppam Vision 2029.

This vision will take the constituency forward in all fields said the chief minister.
