Korean Delegation meets AP’s Ministers

A senior Korean delegation comprising of Mr. Jund Deok Min, Chairman of Make in India Korea/Special Envoy Representative of Andhra Pradesh along with Mr Goo, Special Advisor of Lotte Group recently called upon AP’s Minister for Industries and Commerce and Food Processing Mr. T.G.Bharat and Minister for MSME, SERP, NRI Empowerment and Relations Mr Kondapalli Srinivas.

The delegation discussed ways to strengthen economic, investment and trade relations between Government of Andhra Pradesh and South Korea.

Assuring all necessary support to the delegation Mr Bharat requested the delegation to provide a list of potential investors or entrepreneurs interested in establishing their ventures in the State so that the Government can offer the appropriate assistance.

Similarly Mr Srinivas highlighted the advantages of investing in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in areas such as skilling, food processing, product standardization, Agro-automation and the sharing of state-of-the-art Korean technologies in shipbuilding, packaging, and MSME Parks.

Some of the deliberations made during the meeting included establishing a Skill academi on PPP model wherein a MoU was signed between State Government and Skill Academi.

Similarly Collaboration with Korean Companies for customised training programmes and deployment of Korean trainers in India and developing Korean MSME industrial Complex in India were discussed.

In addition plans were discussed on attracting Koren Investments in 25 key industries including Agro and Food Processing, Marine, Shrimp Processing and Packing, reviving exports of premium mangoes to Korea.
